As director of the Special Care Nursery at MelroseWakefield Hospital and neonatologist at Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, Dr. Karen Harvey-Wilkes has helped more than her fair share of newborn babies and their mothers in the Boston area. But the past decade or so has seen her travel far from home to deliver much-needed care.
