Helping You Prepare for Your Baby
To help expectant parents-to-be with planning and anticipated adjustments, we make available many valuable, easy-to-access services through our support programs.
We are committed to providing new parents with all the educational resources they need to feel confident and prepared to care for the growing family.
We offer our prenatal and postpartum health and childbirth education classes in person and online. Classes are taught by certified childbirth, CPR and First Aid instructors, clinical staff and other credentialed educators. Instructors cover many important topics, aimed at community safety, health and wellness, including:
- baby care basics
- childbirth education
- CPR and first aid
With this app, you will have everything you need to know about having your baby at MelroseWakefield Hospital. We provide expertise throughout your pregnancy from prenatal support to your first moments home with your baby. The app includes:
- details about having your baby at MelroseWakefield Hospital (including visiting hours, breastfeeding resources and postpartum support and more)
- evidence-based info about pregnancy, postpartum, infant care
- tools you can use during and after your pregnancy kick counter, contraction timer, personal journal, feeding log, immunization log
Once you have registered, you will receive an email invitation from firstname.lastname@example.org where you can create a unique password and login. Then, you can also download the mobile app version by searching your app store for “myYoMingo.”
Please note: Out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, we are currently restricting non-patient visitors to the hospital and are temporarily suspending maternity tours. We look forward to resuming tours as soon as reasonably possible.
Let us show you around! We offer tours twice a month; on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Tours start at 6 p.m., offered free of charge and registration is not required. Simply meet us in the lobby of MelroseWakefield Hospital. We also offer tours on some Sundays, please call 781-338-7561 for more information.
