Empowering you to live on your terms

It’s easy to take everyday tasks like cooking meals, bathing or running errands for granted. Yet, the reality is that for some people living with illnesses, injuries or other medical conditions, accomplishing these tasks can be a big challenge.

That's where our occupational therapists come in — they’re trained to help people enjoy an independent and productive life. You can trust that we’ll map your wellness plan, coordinate inpatient services and share resources to help you and your caretakers continue your journey from the comfort of your own home.

Treatments

Occupational therapy is often just one part of a broader care plan. We'll work with our colleagues in primary care, physical therapy, speech therapy and other specialties to get the full picture of your health needs and goals.

Our programs focus on daily activities like dressing, managing medications, driving and leisure activities. We’ll recommend a combination of:

  • Manual soft tissue and joint mobilization techniques
  • Modalities to increase strength, mobility and dexterity
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Wound and scar management

If needed, we offer custom splinting for orthopedic conditions and can show you how to set up an ergonomic (efficient and comfortable) workstation.

Hand + upper extremity therapy

Rehabilitation following elbow or hand surgery is an important stop along your road to recovery. Hand therapy improves your strength and overall function. Our specialists will teach you how to properly perform different exercises and strategies like:

  • Functional skills retraining
  • Hand splinting
  • Scar management
  • Sensory retraining
  • Strengthening and range of motion exercise programs
