Treating Sleep-related Disorders
When you aren’t getting enough sleep it affects your quality of life.
We will evaluate your symptoms and perform a physical exam. We may prescribe a sleep study, to get a complete picture of your sleep rhythm. Then we will diagnose and help manage many sleep-related conditions, such as:
- sleep apnea

- chronic insomnia
- circadian rhythm abnormalities
- limb movement disorder
- night terrors and sleep paralysis
- restless leg syndrome
What is Sleep Apnea?
Obstructive sleep apnea — marked by loud snoring, excessive tiredness and someone observing you not breathing during sleep — is an especially concerning condition. It occurs when breathing is briefly and repeatedly interrupted during sleep. This disorder can increase your risk of hypertension, cardiovascular disease and stroke. Be sure to discuss your risk factors for obstructive sleep apnea with your primary care physician.
Depending on the results of your sleep medicine consultation and sleep study, we offer an array of treatment options. These may include:
- behavioral therapy
- cognitive therapy
- CPAP machine
- dental guards
