Lawrence Memorial Hospital construction update (added Dec. 28, 2020)
As we continue to finalize the exterior phases of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital construction project, please be advised that we need to remove a small section of ledge to complete the stairway and ADA accessible ramps leading from Governors Ave to the main entrance. On Tuesday Dec. 29, we will be hammering the ledge to remove it.
We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Announcing the Completion of the New Ambulatory Surgery Center (added Dec. 22, 2020)
We wanted to share the exciting news that the construction of the new Shields Surgery Center at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital campus is completed. A couple of weeks ago we received the Certificate of Occupancy for the state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center, marking its completion. As we know it is not safe to gather at this time with a formal opening ceremony. There will be limited opening the center of just a few patients in the near future as we prepare for our accreditation from the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care. We are planning for a full opening of all surgery center services in the first quarter of the new calendar year and hope to be able to share a more formal opening safely at that time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during construction period. Please note that there is still some outdoor and landscaping work to be done in the parking area. We look forward to the early spring when those final touches are completed as seasonal conditions permit. We also look forward to sharing the full details of the completed project that reflects the quality, state-of-the-art services offered right here in Medford.
Please stay safe this holiday season. We look forward to a brighter New Year.
