Lawrence Memorial Hospital Construction Update (added Jan. 22, 2021)
We are writing to inform you of some activity taking place at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital campus over the next few days.
Today, Friday, Jan. 22, concrete is being poured to complete the construction of the ADA ramp providing access to the campus from Governors Ave.
On Monday, Jan. 25, you will notice a significant decrease in the size of the construction site footprint at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. As the construction needs continue to wind down, construction-related materials will continue to be removed. Specifically, the main entrance to the campus will be re-opened on Monday, and most of the construction fencing will be removed.
Some remaining campus items such as landscaping are season dependent and will be completed as the season permits. Also, lobby renovations are nearly completed.

Lawrence Memorial Hospital construction update (added Jan. 12, 2021)
We are writing to inform you that four speed feedback signs placed on Governors Ave. and Lawrence Road near the Lawrence Memorial Hospital campus were inadvertently installed in the wrong locations due to a miscommunication with a sub-contractor. The signs are part of speed-reduction efforts developed in coordination with the Medford Traffic Commission.
Upon hearing the signs were installed in the wrong locations, we worked to rectify the situation, and the four signs were re-installed in the locations previously approved by the City of Medford on Monday, January 11.
We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
The installation of the speed feedback signs is part of the traffic mitigation request within the special permit. We are pleased that this work has been completed in collaboration with the Medford Traffic Commission in response to the community’s request.
As shared in our end-of-year notice, the construction of the new ambulatory surgery center is now completed. The hospital’s main lobby renovation is still underway and scheduled to be finished next month, and seasonal landscaping and other final parking lot finishes will be completed in the spring.
