Ambulatory Surgery Center Update (added November 19, 2019)
Since receiving the approval for the Ambulatory Surgery Center from the City Council in October, we continue to work with city department heads to address the items discussed at the Oct. 15 City Council meeting and to finalize the plans required to submit the building permit request for the project. We expect that permit request to be submitted this week.
In addition, we want to make you aware of some on-campus preparatory activities that also may be occurring this week. These activities include such things as Dig Safe markings, survey crews walking the campus and exploration of sewer manholes. These activities are not reliant on the issuance of a city permit and are required for construction planning.
Once the building permit is submitted and we have a more specific understanding of the timeline of activities related to further preparing for construction, we will communicate that information to you. Lastly, we are in the early planning stages of a specific website that will be a resource for information specific to construction and will also be planning an abutters meeting after the New Year.
